On December 2nd, 2004, John Figarelli founded the National Fitness Hall of Fame to recognize the efforts individuals and organizations make to practice and promote healthy living.
The NFHOF's mission is to inspire individuals to “Get Fit & Stay Healthy” by promoting the benefits of daily exercise and encouraging all Americans to adopt healthy lifestyle practices.

THE NATIONAL FITNESS HALL OF FAME
NFHOF - “The Hall” recognizes individuals for their career work in the field of fitness and health. Induction into the National Fitness Hall of Fame is the highest honor a person working in the fitness industry can achieve. The Hall also presents other special awards of merit for working professionals.

NFHOF Membership: The backbone of our organization is our members. NFHOF Members receive several gifts along with many other benefits and can participate in the numerous Hall of Fame Contests & Challenges conducted throughout the year which ultimately lead to Hall of Fame Superstar recognition and status!
NATIONAL FITNESS HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CRITERIA
Any Member of the National Fitness Hall of Fame can be nominated for induction consideration if they meet the minimum criteria listed below.
Member of the National Fitness Hall of Fame. (unless deceased)
30+ years of service in the health & fitness industry.
A genuine concern for the heath & welfare of others.
An extensive and diverse work experience in fitness.
A nationally recognized "Body of Work."
Retired or have reached the age of 65 before the induction date.
(The minimum age has been raised from 60 to 65 y/o in 2023. Inductees under 60 by 2022 are grandfathered into "The Hall.")
