| Charlie Kuntzleman - 2008 NFHOF Inductee
Charlie's career began at his alma mater, Muhlenberg College, where he was the assistant professor of physical education and coached football, track, lacrosse, and wrestling. In 1968, he moved to the Lehigh County Community College, as the assistant professor of physical education and lecturer in anatomy and physiology. After focusing mainly on teaching, Charlie became a consultant for Rodale Press and the national program director for the YMCA — Fitness Finders.Charlie's impact on the arena of physical activity is known around the world. He has dedicated his life to teaching and advocating for quality physical education. Not only is he the co-owner of Fitness Finders, Inc., of Spring Arbor, he is also Professor of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan, and Chair of the Michigan Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports and the Michigan Fitness Foundation. He and his wife, Beth, have always emphasized physical activity and nutrition to their five children and eight grandchildren.
